Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

The K10 is on the same level as HD800, but with a warmer (not bass head) presentation.

Because K10 doesn't have lifted treble like the HD800, the K10 doesn't jump out with the same bell-like clarity of the HD800s, but it's actually just as clear in my opinion (referring to CIEM version) and easier to switch between relaxed listening and focussed attention to details because it's nit as forward with it's detail.

I'm in the exact opposite position to you where I'm trying to decide if HD800 can be a match for K10s, but have listened extensively to HD800s in order to provide the comparison above.

thank you. Would love to see some impressions of the universal model. Is it similar to the ciem?

then your knowledge may need to be re-defined as the k10u is supposed to be shipped by 1 nov, it is not a custom

What probably happened in this situation is:

You contacted Calvin and expressed intetrest in a K10 Univ.   Unfortunately he did not have any in stock to sell to you.

You placed an order, and Calvin then placed an order with Noble.

But lets back up some.....

Before the K10 was offered to the public, Noble's dealers were informed of the K10's launch. The dealers were given an oppertunity to purchase K10's before the official launch date.  Some dealers capitalized on that offer, and purchased K10's and prepared for the official launch.

Other dealers, for what ever reason, did not order K10's.

There are two production lines, one for dealers and one for direct customers.

Apparently you had the misfortune of working with a dealer that had not purchased sufficient stock/inventory K10's........    and when Calvin placed your order for the K10, that K10 order went into the back of the "dealer" line.   This line can be rather long, as dealers often times order a lot of products.

Your situation is one of the reasons we strongly encourage our dealers to purchase stock, rather than buying products on a case by case bassis, as the wait period can be long.

Regardless, I hope you enjoy your K10

Does that mean that buying direct could be quicker than through a dealer? My dealer quoted me a wait time for universals much longer than what's on your website.

Ooh, slighting your partners is probably one of the worst things a principal could do. You guys make a good IEM in the K10 and by far the best looking ones I've seen, and I wouldn't presume to teach you how to conduct your business and communications but I can tell you, Calvin busts ass to promote Noble in Singapore. As a start-up, perhaps cash flow is preventing him from ideally stocking his inventory. Nonetheless, I think the unsupportive stance Noble is taking here undermines any good work your dealer is doing for you. Sorry, but this is just not right.

I hardly think that Dr. Moulton is slighting dealers with his comment. He merely stated that some dealers purchased stock ahead of time, and others did not (or just didn't order enough to meet anticipated demand). Having to wait a bit longer for your order to be filled causing you some frustration, however, is understandable.

It could be shorter, for example, your dealer may know his products will be shipped in a matter of days, or are actually in route at the moment you are at his store. If that is the case, then it would be safe to say that ordering with your dealer would be faster.

Thank you. In which case I think I find myself in the exact opposite situation. Your website says 2-3 weeks, he says 2 months. He probably knows that he's right at the back of the dealer queue...

You got me wrong, Calvin is in my eyes, an awesome guy and his personality, and integrity is more valuable to me than revenue & I think he knows that. He visits me in Thailand from time to time, and I'll be seeing him in Feb.

I have nothing but the positive to say about Calvin.

But what I did sate is the reality of things, there are two lines, dealers and direct customers, and I don't know how to adress this in a more fairer model.

cheers to Calvin and his hard work

All I can say is we are doing all we can to satisfy orders in a timely fashion, while maintaining the balance of speed and quality.

Rico Suave is flying in tomorrow to help out again. We have more folks than just Rico, but he was been with me from the very early days, and he is willing to work 18 hrs a day so his arrival is welcomed.

I'm sure Calvin would be pleased to know you weren't dissing him. What's there to gain from revealing your dealer and direct customer lines of production, only you know. It puts your dealers' influence (and in this case, credibility) in question and customers are unsure if they should now buy through your appointed channels or direct. IMHO, some things are best left unsaid. And you don't need to tell me, John, with the K10 this good, you should just let it do all the talking.

Ok some customer gets on here, publicly scathes Noble, when Noble has done no wrong....

and Noble should offer no explanation....

Thank you. So can I confirm that the 2-3 wait time on the website is accurate? I will have to speak to my dealer..

accurate at the time that was written

if it is accurate after the Black Friday sale, and accurate at the point of when your order was placed (as this determines your placement in line) remains to be seen.

I'm not here to scare anyone off, but I have to be honest.....  the amount of orders will impact the build times, this is just an unavoidable fact.   As for your dealer, he may have an order on the way or he may not have placed an order at all....   you really should speak to your dealer.
