Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

This is my second pair of Noble Khan ( my previous unit was replaced by this one due to the well known 2 pin socket issue of this particular "Flagship" model )...and the same problem just happened again...... this time I just removed the stock cable gently and did not plug in any third party cables but the socket of both side just cracked....What.....I am totally disappointed of the poor QC ......this problem really ruin the "Noble" brand

That sucks. Sorry to hear.

It's weird. I've only ever used third-party cables. And a wide variety of them. My Encore and Sage never had socked issues. But they are a few years old now. Maybe Noble is using new materials that aren't up to the task.

Please tell me this is not something that is going to top the Khan I just got them while you were in Chicago.
I second Wata's opinion. The new hybrid is something special. Just wait for it. :)

Here is another quote from my interactions with them....

---------------------------------

Repairing - you send the Katana to our headquarters, who will forward them to our RMA department located in Thailand along with other RMAs. They will repair them according to 'first come, first serve' policy. So the whole repairing process could last months. The RMA cost will be evaluated in the IEM lab, which is usually hundreds of dollars. Also, we do not know if someone stole them and sale on net or if the internal components need to be replaced. So we strongly recommend not to repair them.

---------------------------------

Sounds like bull crap statement from them.
Cheat them with customer's cost.
Half value to fix?
Why don't they just go ahead and rob the customers instead.

Price range? Work with phone?
I wasn't told about its price range, but its not a flagship, so it will sit below the Khan in Noble's lineup. It sounds really good, though. Certainly something worth keeping an eye out for.

I tried it with a variety of players, a Hiby R3, R6 Pro and a Hugo 2. Didn't have any issues driving them. Hopefully, your phone won't run into any problems.

I went to speak with someone so I took them out of my ears and they were not under my shirt, so instead of hanging down below my neck, to the ground they went, 4 and a half foot drop to concrete is bad. 100% my fault, the other die that had the face plate pop off also broke into 2 smaller pieces I was not able to glue back on.
Dropping IEMs onto the floor is the audiophile equivalent of the screen on your new Galaxy Fold breaking in 2. Or something like that. :D

Yes, I did that once.
Dropped my K10C on wood floor, broke partial face plate. Super glued back on.
Dropped again inside a water bowl. Bass is no longer heard anymore. Put into art museum now or hear one good side only sometimes during work.

I already have the Khan so I am all set for now. I am focusing on getting my desktop solution set and my 2 channel.

I dont think service was refused, just an alternative option was offered, an option that would yield faster results.

But if folks would rather wait then that's fine as well. Unfortunately it is an expensive process (shipping) and the shipping time also impacts turn around time. Bummer

You certainly have my attention

Unfortunately I can't PM you due to your privacy settings.

That being said can you offer the SN# of your Khans so I can do some research.

Or PM me if you would like, as always we would like to resolve issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Well, the sound is a bit different from the Khan's - I demoed the both of them together during the recent Singapore CanJam, so I can appreciate the differences the new hybrid brings to the table. The Khan is the all-conquering champ in terms of resolution. The new IEM, on the other hand, is probably Noble's take on a consumer-friendly hybrid tuning. :)

I use the Solaris when I want a different sound signature. I am tapped out for a while on audio spending. Maybe a balanced cable for the diana phi and that is it.
