  Ultrasone has lost their minds.  Let them fail as a company already if they insist on conning people so often.

But I actually like their good headphone line, the Pro 900, SigDJ/Pro.  Those are some quality products most of head fi would agree on with little controversy. Some good sounding cans.

I've been told that 1/2 of the limited editions have been ordered already. It's no all bad for Ultrasone with the Edition 5 as the very 1st person who lined up for it at the show ordered immediately (I'm going to preempt & request please leave out any comments about a person's taste in sound in this thread).

I'm a fan of the Signature series particularly the Pro's & DJ's. But the Editions have a different house sound.

Guys, if there is a market for such products, and it seems that it exists, why not give those people what they want. This is nothing that most companies would do and it is not illegal. Wasn't is Sennheiser with it's Orpheus line that started this business?
Anyways, I could not afford such cans at all, but I could also not effort a Porsche. But if I could, maybe I would.....

Bog oak is £90 a tonne in my part of the world. Good for burning in a thatched cottage as it doesn't 'spit' much. I like the look of it on the Ed5 but am unlikely to be in the queue for them. Happy with the 9s and 10s.
