To me Andromeda is one of the best sounding iems on the market. Vega is different beast, heard other TOTL iems as well - Andromeda is a sweet spot IMHO.
Still waiting for my COmets - would be very surprised if they sound similar. Had Orions before- mids are great, the rest is far behind
The Orion has long been one of my favorite IEM's for tonal accuracy and timbre. It has remained while my Vega, Andromeda, Jupiter, Lyra, Lyra II and Nova have departed. Maybe I just have a tin ear!

Yes. I experienced Andromeda with very short time and every time I hear them I get back with no excitement, especially knowing they cost more than a hd800. More of a can guy.
FWIW I agree that they aren't "exciting." They do a lot of things well but aren't the best at anything. The hype train makes people feel like they're obligated to like them & while I enjoyed the listen at AXPONA I knew they weren't worth the price tag. Not with the Atlas at the same table.

I did spend quite a bit of time at Axpona listening to the Comet as well as the Atlas. When I went, I was prepared to bring the Comets home but while I liked them, I still think for the type of music I most enjoy that I prefer the sound as well as the fit of the Orion, hence I came home empty-handed!. Still, considering the price, the Comet makes an excellent all-arounder.
