Most overrated headphone I've tried? HD6xx easily. People talk about them like they are the second coming. I found them bland, lacking thump in the bass and bite in the treble when needed. They were also uncomfortable. Preferred my X2 over them with most music, with superior bass and wider sound stage, and I find the X2 to be extremely comfortable to wear despite being heavier. TH-X00 is an even bigger step up from the HD6xx/650.

I absolutely disdain with a mighty passion the beyerdynamic dt770. I remember heavily considering it as my first purchase when getting into headphones, glad I didn't blind purchase.
