I know this is 20+ pages in, and you shouldn't judge headphones by their looks, but for a "flagship" phone and for that price... damn they're ugly.

That's a personal preference, I think they look cool, but the sound matters much more than looks....

Yes and the much-praised Audeze LCD-2  does not look exactly "sleek".... LCD-2 is handsome and purposeful looking, and it is pretty well made, but for audio jewelry I'll take the HD800s; the Sony MDR-SA5000's which I used to own also had AWESOME cosmetics- all the cast magnesium pieces and carbon-fiber work; very pretty and showed really sophisticated manufacturing ability.
