I had 3 pairs of headphone tried on the portable gear(imod + predator), they were Sony CD3000, Sen HD650, AT a900ti, which I prefer the CD3000 the most, and I would recomand you too. CD 3000 is famous of being easy driven which is very important for portable gear. a900ti was also good, this pair looks amazing though

I already picked a headphones. ultrasone pro 900. they arrive 2morrow.
a dac/amp is yet to be decided.
the good ones are so damn expensive. I think I might wait a month for my pay check to be able to buy a good dac

I want to know what can actually drive the HE-5's that is around 500.00

CD3000 is one of the biggest headphone around. I can't imagine ever wearing them outdoor.

No need bro, just need an audio interface for 500$ a dac with a mic preamp and a good sound

Schiit Lyr.  It can drive anything.
