My wife is enjoying her new headphones.

Black and Red is one of my favorite color combination ... and we Asian generally have black hair.
This looks very nice on her. I think.

I'm a whining hard to impress buzz kill and should be locked away from rest of mankind because of that. But I think that is one spectacular looking headphone! :astonished:

I especially like what they did with the headband.Rognir-bog-oak-2.jpgRognir-bog-oak-5.jpg

Edit: Just noticed that small vent behind the fork piece. Cool tiny grille! Makes zmf Verite look unfinished in comparison. I've always thought those holes would look better with a grille.

Ufff... That Rögnir is even more precious than what I could have imagined in my deepest dreams. I love the wood, even more than the prototype wood... by the way which variety of wood is that? I think @ithilienrp has something to do with that incredible headband  (I prefer it to the new Thror headband and the one included in the oldish Kennerton headphones) it's so luxurious...

I'm starting to save for a DAC/AMP but I will have these headphones engraving in my mind... Obviously, if the sound is according it's aesthetics :L3000:

Thank you very much, @eric65, for showing us this beauty, and to @ithilienrp to took part on their design :beerchug:

Edit: ok, I didn't see the link (Bog oak)

Edit (2): By the way... Tomorrow is my birthday (that's true, 42 years) if someone wanted to give me something, you already know what's my wet desire :relieved:

Concerning the new design of the headband of the Kennerton Rögnir, I think that our friend Dave @ithilienrp has a lot to do with it, and myself a little bit, as soon as the first public pictures of the Kennerton Rögnir appeared at the end of 2020 (at Christmas).

You can follow the few steps of this common reflection on the headband of the Rögnir, and the possible improvements to be made, especially on the aesthetic level, to make it more rewarding.

Thanks to the different participants of this thread and this discussion that led Kennerton (and its CEO Valentin) to take into account our reflections and constructive criticism to arrive at the finalized version of the Rögnir, a superb closed-back planar headphone, which imho, will not have much to envy to many other headphones of its class.

Below, some links related to this common reflection on the Rögnir headband. (in chronological order):

Hello again to all.

For Valentin.

I think there is a small mistake in the technical sheet of the Kennerton Rögnir which is a point by point copy of the Kennerton Thror Novel, including the presence of perforated earpads ECL-01 and ECL-02 (of the Thror), while obviously the pads of the Rögnir are different (not perforated and look very very comfortable looking).

So what about the weight of the Rögnir, in its final form (with the new headband, which is very nice by the way), knowing that the weight of the prototype of the Rögnir (with the simple headband of the Magni, not covered with leather) was 380 g; and what about the sensitivity of the Rögnir? (100 db/1 mW ?); and for how much impedance ?

Hi Eric! Yes, you are absolutely right - we listen carefully to every comment and suggestion and try to put it into practice. In my opinion, this is the right way - users' opinions should be above our own, as it is for them that all this is ultimately created. So each of our models have the experience of each and every one of you. Thank you for your support and help!
I have a long-held dream, to launch a project called "HiveMind", where we all could create a headphone model together, discussing and selecting every step and every detail, every little thing. And in the end all participants of the project would receive this model at its cost price (And the cost price we would also see and form all together!). And I would definitely like a certificate to be included with the model, with the names of everyone who was the creator of this collective item. It seems to me that collective intelligence is capable of creating the world's best product, far better than one or a few talented engineers can do.After all, only you know what you want and what you need! And your vast experience, your knowledge and your skills are a priceless treasure! This has been a dream of mine for a long time. I even discussed it with Head-Fi fellows 3-4 years ago. But, I'm always short of time and energy to do it. But I will definitely do!

Amazing, I would definitelly be part of this. Stuff like this is what's sets Kennerton apart from the competition.
