I am using the new Whiplash TWag cable with my JH13 and they are worth the investment. They enhance an already great IEM. All areas of sound are affected and improved.

Yes, but what I meant to ask was, I do like alot the laidback SS from HD650.
and I wonder if it would be just a matter of preference if someone picked up the 650s to listen to instead of the JH13. Or its so much better that with no doubt everyone would pick the Jh13s, even if it doesnt have the laidback sound signature from the 650s ?

I still think a well amped HD650 is more refined in the highs, but not by much. Overall to me the JH13 sound slightly better. But the sound sig is very different from HD650s, so it's not that easy to compare both phones. I'm pretty sure some people would prefer HD650's sound sig in the long run.

So here's my take on this. Etynomic is known for accurately reproducing a recorded source. In fact, the ER-4S, boasts a 92% accuracy rating, allowing the headphones to remain "flat". Although the JH13's sound great, they are not accurate. I ran my pair through a frequency response similar to how Etynomic runs their tests, and the results were surprising. My left ear scored a ~53% accuracy, and my right was 61%.

...Kay, first of all, they are custom-built IEMs, so how did you test them such that you are certain the JH13 isn't more than 61% accurate? Second, what accuracy rating did the ER-4S get when you tested them?

That's a good point. The comparison needs to be with the same set of ears or it doesn't mean anything.

Is the twang cable portable? Can it be coiled up and stored in a UE metal case?

It is more flexible than I thought it would be. Yes, you can coil it up.

I'd absolutly love to hear more inputs about that.
"How much" well amped to be on pair of comparison between these two ?
600$ well amped or 2000$ well amped ?

Something all balanced like Buffalo > Beta22 > Hd650
or
Cheaper single ended like Pico DAC > dv332/c2c/nice amp > Hd650
or
Iphone > JH13

I have the HD650's and find little to compare. The highs to me, on the JH13's are more natural and evident.

I'll take the JH13 out of my iTouch over anything anyone can throw at the HD650. My setup behind the HD650 wasn't too shabby either.
