We should have our first update ready next month. Hang tight but more importantly, don't mod (voids the warranty)!

Thanks.

I strongly suggest you guys get your hands on the latest FiioLDAC neck band model to make sure Plussound’s sounds as good or better. It’s around the $100 mark. Or at least task your Bluetooth module manufacturers in the Far East to do that.

It’s built in the USA. Furthermore, neckbands are different in design, but sure, we can look into it.

Oh OK, beg pardon. Assumed module was made there - my bad.

I do hope a firmware update solves some problems, but software won't stop IEMs from falling off the connectors.

So it's been 2 months since the mentioned firmware update to fix the loud hiss, however till now no news. I'm starting to think this product is dead in the water and a firmware will not be able to fix the hiss which might be a hardware issue. I'm surprised PS released this in the first place when the hiss is so obvious...

Maybe it was thought that the audiophile community can ignore hiss, because so many high end DAPs are hissing, too (half irony / half true)! :deadhorse:

Uhh that's not true... I have AK, Hiby and also tried Cayin DAPs and they do not hiss. Only a few like Sony's hisses however it goes away when the music is playing. The PS bluetooth hisses even during music tracks.

As mentioned in our last post here last week, we are aiming for this month. Follow our site or socials for the update.

Well, my Hifiman hisses...
And Hiby R6 Pro and some Fiio models, too. :triportsad: They shouldn`t...we all agree on that! :L3000:

That's so strange... I know almost nothing about this stuff, however I've never noticed any hiss from my R6 Pro connected to my LCD-2's and my Lola IEM's using a variety of different cables. Same with my ES100, Dragonfly Red... I think a hiss would annoy the p*ss out of me

Hi!

This depends very much on the impedance and sensitivy of the earphones you use! Some are prone to hiss, some aren’t! To explain it a bit simplified:
Earphones that are very sensitive and don’t need much amplification to drive tend to hiss. Or from a source’s standpoint: The higher the amplification, the higher the chance a source hisses. This is why gain settings can solve this problem. Big headphones usually have a low sensitivy and need a lot of power - that is why they don’t hiss. (Again: That is explained a bit simplified!)

So: The art of the manufacturers is to built sources that don‘t hiss with sensitive phones though they have high amplification (demanded by the audiophile target group)!

Hey thanks for that info... I've always wondered about that. Planning to pick up some custom IEM's this year as soon as the quarantine's over and I can get impressions made somewhere. Hopefully I won't have the hiss, however I guess can always just pick up a different DAP :)

I downloaded the 1.01 firmware update package but it won't properly install and run on my Windows10 machine. Nothing happens unless I run as admin, and then it tells me its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. If anyone else gets it to work, holler. I don't have a Facebook account so I won't be posting there.
