People in Southern California will get a GREAT opportunity to hear LUNA for the first time --- we're collaborating with The Source AV to hold a mini-meet on December 21st, from Noon to 8 PM!
LUNA will be fresh off an airplane (shipping to CA on 12/16) to make it to this meet, as well as the rest of our lineup, including the elusive 17th Anniversary Limited Edition model! This way, people can also compare between what a single DD with PVD beryllium sounds like, versus pure beryllium foil in the LUNA.
Huge thanks to @TSAVAlan and @TSAVJason for graciously hosting this event and helping make it a possibility!
Yes, that's how I came to know about itIs this at The Source AV Design Group in Torrance, CA?

Couldn't agree enough. I was literally found there in one or the other corner almost every single dayYes, as @TSAVAlan stated, The Source AV Design Group showroom is located in Torrance, CA --- if you haven't been there, you should! It's legitimately a head-fier's playground!
That's interesting. I spoke to one of the Periodic reps at the 2019 SoCal CanJam and asked him specifically if the Be's diaphragm was made of pure beryllium or if it was beryllium coated, and he told me it was beryllium coated.
So either the rep was wrong or their marketing is wrong. I'm honestly not sure which.
Maybe someone can comment who has some more detailed info about Periodic's Be driver.
And if the Periodic Be does use a pure beryllium diaphragm, then that would mean that the Luna is not the world's first to use one.

These look beautiful, simple yet premium.
A picture from our meet in Wuhan, China, showing the near final version of the LUNA.
Key Changes:
- Smoother transition from beveled barrel to smooth done cap on the MMCX connector
- ‘Oceanic Blue’ silicone tips finalized
- Cable pairing finalized --- note the clear MMCX overmolding, clear sheath, beveled Y-split, and polished Quick-Switch modular plug system
