I tried momentum 2 wireless for 15 days and plantronics backbeat pro for 10 months. Backbeat pro has stronger bass that stands out in certain songs and great value for the money with the high tech merchandise, but momentum 2 wireless blows it out otherwise. Momentum 2 wireless has more balanced soundstage, better sounding mids, highs are nice and smooth, warm sound quality, bass is not as strong but nice too, more comfortable than the backbeats. Backbeat pro is the Lexus ES350 to momentum2wireless being the Rolls Royce Phantom. I tried the QC35 in bestbuy for 5 minutes, which is the Lamborghini Aventador with all the sounds and bells

I returned my momentum2wireless as I had to return them in 15 days for full refund because I want to try the new sony mdr1000x. I will buy both in october, keep the one I like more and return the other.

It does to mine but not on all material.  You're much more likely to hear the difference on recordings with high dynamic range and no compression (i.e. FLAC)  By the way, if you have an iPhone and use AAC compatible headphones, the sound quality will be better than another phone with non-AptX compatible headphones.  If you only stream 320 kbps MP3's, then you won't hear the difference between AAC and AptX, but you will over SBC (at least I do).

I've been on the hunt for a pair of wireless heapdhones for months! So I must be honest I like the look of Beats but haven't bought them because of all the reviews I've read. This will be my first pair of decent headphones, I've only had like $40 Sony. 
I am aware that there are a lot of choices but some of them really are out of my price range (Sennheiser 2.0, etc), others fall right into it.  
 
So my question is what are the best wireless headphones $150 USD can buy?  
 
Are the Backbeat Pro still worth it in 2016? How about JBL 300?

My personal favourites are the Onkyo H500BT's....I've tried over 20 pairs of the very best and these top them all IMO!

They have a lovely warm, rich sound with a very well done deep bass that doesn't eat into the mids at all. The mids and highs are wonderfully done too giving them a well balanced but enjoyable sound! They're on ear making them a good portable can but they're comfortable enough for home listening too. Here in the UK I picked them up new for £140.

Thank you, I'd prefer over ear headphones but given the budget constraint I can take on-ear. 
Also unfortunately in the US the cheapest I can find the Onkyo's are $250.

Many options, but it is most important to state WHICH BT headphones you are trying to improve, and WHAT is sending them their music.

Possible options include:

* Choose different earpads;
* Perform equalization;
* Align them differently on your ears;
* Use a different or matching transmission protocol, e.g. Go from SBC to AAC or Apt-X;
* Turn off (or on) active noise cancellation;
* Move into a more electrically quiet environment (rural instead of urban, less radio interference)
* Move closer to the source.

So much depends on the particulars of your headphones and source.

Assuming they have a 3.5mm option so they can be used wired and not just via Bluetooth, then, yup, just use them as you would with wired headphones.

Same here, and yes they are extremely portable and comfortable. Great move from ONKYO.
