Got it two weeks ago. I’m very happy with it.

Thanks to all who have posted reviews and comments that helped me make the decision.
I was using an LG V30 as my source before this. As good as the LG V30 was, the Hiby RS6 is wayyyyyy better.

I actually use the Hiby RS6 as a source for my little bedroom setup.

It’s going to a tube amp, so the tubes mixed with the R2R is purrrrrrrfect for me!

Much love to all of Head-Fi, as I’ve been playing around with all these toys for years (off and on) and having a blast. Respect to Head-Fi!

This DAP is wonderful when it works, but I give up. Here I am again with a blank screen, a blue LED. When I reset, blue light goes out for a couple of seconds then comes on again, blank screen again. More than half the time when I try to fire it up, I get this behaviour. It has always been flaky. I'm done. Future looks like iPhone, a dongle and Roon Arc. Even Arc is more reliable!

Most daps have lag with usb dac. The only one that apparently doesn't is the Fiio M15 as it has xmos chip I believe.
Anyone found a way to reduce the lag ? Want to watch movies connected with my laptop but the lag is annoying.

Update: turns out it's still under warranty and has been returned to HiBy for repair. Looking forward to its return!

@Joe Bloggs do you know if there are any plans to bring the spatializer plugins to the system level? They are pretty fun :)

Time to take things up a notch...

One of the best pairing for the Sennheiser HD800s I've heard.

The Hiby RS6 softens the treble region, removes any ringing, increases mids density, and the Woo Audio smooths things out further and increases sub bass. Essentially this combination covers all the shortcomings of the Sennheiser and makes it refined, balanced and non fatiguing
I would like to try 800s with rs6. Any other amp suggestions guys which won’t break the wallet ?

I was lucky enough to finally purchase Hiby RS8. While technically RS8 is superior to RS6, after hearing RS8 on my own terms, it further solidifes my appreciation and trust towards RS6.

It simply has this warmer, more forgiving sound that sucks you right into the music.

Quick question. Why are personal 16-bit/44.1 kHz tracks being over sampled to 48 kHz when I have nos toggled on? I thought nos was designed to be a ‘bit perfect’ option? I’m typically utilizing the HiBy player. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Another question. Anyone have issues when pairing with an external amp (PA10 in particular)? 4.4 BAL LO is nearly impossible to utilize with more sensitive IEMs and I’d prefer to not utilize 4.4 BAL PO and have my music run through multiple amps. The use of an external amp is all new to me so if I’m not thinking this through correctly, please advise. Thanks.
