By stuttering do you mean distortion, or actual stuttering where the progress of the music in time is interrupted?
Was there any solution to this. I recently reactivated Tidal and have found that I get distortion (mostly in the left channel) whenever I attempt to play any songs in Master quality (352.8k according to the title bar). It sounds similar to having a loose wire somewhere in the headphones (Sennheiser HD 650 connected directly to headphone jack). Have tried multiple headphone cables with same result. As soon as I switch my streaming option to "Hifi" the problem goes away and everything plays fine (but at 44.1K.I'll try to explain .. (oh, this is my English ..)
This is similar to how the output transistor turns off for a moment and the sound disappears. Moreover, this is manifested to a greater extent in the left channel, less often in the right. That is, the channels react to it independently.

UPD2:
In the audio settings, I switched the filter to the slow rolloff value and the stuttering almost disappeared. They appear only at very high volume values.
As I understand it, stuttering is the locking of the output amplifier from the excess of a high-frequency signal.
Thanks for posting that. I should have mentioned in my post that I tried the three different filter settings. In my case, it made no difference. Can you try playing this test fileWas there any solution to this. Is this just a streaming limitation? Next step, I guess, is to try downloading some of the content to see if the distortion goes away when I'm not streaming it.
Hiby R6 firmware 1.9G_20201031_1946
Sennheiser HD 650s
Tidal app version 2.34.1
Update: Downloaded an album and the issue persists (although not quite as bad as when streaming the content).

Thanks for replying and providing the test file, Joe. I can confirm that playing this file exhibits the same problem I'm having playing MQA files on Tidal. Can you try playing this test file

It should be a steady tone.
If not, yours is not a problem with MQA but a hardware defect of the unit itself. From what I've read of your problem so far that's what I am suspecting already anyway.
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, you can contact service@hiby.com to report the issue and have them repair / replace the unit. Out of warranty, yes, but our charges are quite reasonable (you'd probably find the shipping companies to be profiting more)Thanks for replying and providing the test file, Joe. Is this something that is repairable or am I out of luck? Unfortunately, I'm long out of warranty as I purchased this unit directly from the Hiby store back in March of 2019.
