Unfortunately Melbourne does not have the luxury of having quiet cars or buses. In most cases, your head will be much less than a ruler's length (30cm) to the person sitting besides you. I find it plain rude for people to use open headphones in such situations.

All the more reason to put on your own music and worry less about others.

Ok, I need help identifying a pair here. They looked like Edition 8's, but the part of the cup that is normally shiny was black and the top part of the cup (where the metal extends down) was a bright green. Any ideas? The cups were the exact same shape but the colours have thrown me off here.
.

Sortof like that.

It depends on the music. If they're blasting some Frank Sinatra I couldn't care less. If they're blasting some cRAP out of ipod earbuds I have a problem.

Well over the past month, I've seen some Beats, obviously, but I did get to see some Audio Technica m30's and m50's. I was surprised to see the m30's the most, as I don't really hear them talked about much and I actually had to get close to identify them.

I saw a guy wearing some Grado GS1000's as he walked into his class on campus today. I was a bit shocked someone would wear those out of the house, especially with rain in the forecast. Would have stopped him he not already been through the door and I wasn't already 5 minutes late. Maybe I'll run into him again at a more opportune time.

I saw a guy on the bus with Westone 4's connected to an Ibasso D-Zero amp. When I saw him I was quite exited as usually, people around Hong Kong usually wear Beats Studios, or Solos.

Hahha someone mentioned this before but the guy is probably laughing while reading this thread...it's hard to own such an exquisite headphone without knowing what head-fi is.
