I spotted my mom wearing a set of Ultrasone Pro 680s. She used my Pro 900s with her portable DVD player when we took a trip and she loved them. She didn't really like the price tag so she went with one of the cheaper Ultrasone options. I haven't had a chance to talk to her about how she likes them yet but if she ends up still preferring the Pro 900s, I'm going to help her return them and cover the difference as an early Christmas gift. She's not that into this kind of thing so for her to have found a good set of headphones for her needs is awesome.

The S-Logic alignment is pretty darn cool for movies and stuff, which is perfect for what she would typically use them for. She hasn't quite mastered the DVD player in the living room so she watches stuff on her computer -- thanks to the easy to use interface on XBMC -- and portable DVD player. To be able to get premium sound in that arrangement makes the experience a lot nicer.

The most notable ones I saw were a black grado model on an indian chick, pair of crossfade lps, an AKG k701 white, and i swear to god was a hd800 on some girl (caught a glimpse of its brilliant aluminumness. not too sure tho) while biking in michigan state. The other ones were just stuff u can get at the local store or best buy. or beats. crap ton of them.

edit: remembered i saw a m-50 some some asian guy also.

3 sets of Senn 25-1 ii on the train home. They're making inroads against beats. Must have a champion at some of the local shops.

My buddy at school who also has a pair of SR80i's, just won a free pair of GR10s on Grado's facebook giveaway, that lucky person! I know I'll be seeing him with them soon enough....

Spotted a guy in the subway with HD598's lol; I was surprised. Went and had a chat with him, looks were more important to him, and he seemed wealthy.

I told him my senn in-ears costed more though :p

I love how so many anime geeks also love headphones and computers in general. it's just this demographic phenomenom.

I love anime and computers but i wouldn't call myself an anime geek.

It's the internet demographic. People like us spend way to much time on the interwebs.
