Well, here they are guys. By the looks of it they have hardly been used.

Yes we all know you are very lucky. And you looks like you have the hd25-i ii with the 1.5m right angle plug...much preferable than my long 3m straight angle plug.
I too was lucky enough to have dealt with an extremely generous ebay seller who gave me a full refund as well as letting me keep the hd25-13 after I sent an email asking whether they were genuine because of the terminated 1/4 inch plug as oppose to the 3.5mm plug and the different box packaging. Never had I have dreamt of an outcome like this.
anyone know where i can buy alu/amp spare replacement cups?

£97.94 from Sennheiser UK ! May as well buy a pair of used Amperiors to cannibalise.

The spare part number is 556905 so may be available elsewhere local to you ?
Any suggestions on replacement cables?
I'm not sure what style of cable you're looking for. One of the replacement cables I used on my last pair was from this seller.

Did everything I need.
Well like you I also managed to pick up some 25s, friend mentioned the cable might be a bit buggy. So I was looking for a replacement that is a tad bit nicer, probably should of put more information but it was early morning for me when I posted it
Look on eBay USA, under "HD25 cable". You'll find some nice options. The one I linked above is for quick budget fix, but great cable none the less.
Thanks, they don't deliver to Ireland sadly. I'll check out the UK and see if there is something similar.
For anyone who has bought from CustomCans ( http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Sennheiser-Genuine-HD-25-Replacement-Cable-1-5m-523874-Red-Black-HD-25-1-II-/131707044333?hash=item1eaa5a01ed:g:4-YAAOSwPe1UDtvY ) does the fact it's a "steel" cable make a difference?
I wonder how similar an uber modded regular hd25 would sound to the aluminium. If the uber mod is 99% of the alu sound, I might save some money and buy the uber kit instead. Reason I asking is I've heard the damping & mass loading mods reduces the mids which is something I don't want happening. Also can somebody confirm if the uber mod will be heavier than the alu?
