Somebody here once said it's easy to research things like this, but it's really not. It took me at least quite a few hours to find the HD650s were good for me through online forums, etc., and when you're busy with work this ends up consuming quite a lot of your free time. I personally do this - I spend a lot of my free time researching quality purchases when I'm looking to upgrade something, but I can surely understand that some people don't.

Sometimes I am convinced that manufacturers go out of their way to make finding the perfect product for you confusing, therefore making you buy a whole bunch of stuff you don't want/like/need on the way to audio nirvana.

If they could make a perfect product, we'd only buy it once and stop. That's just bad for business...

When they finally do end up making that perfect product, it just has to cost over $5000..and require electrostatic amplification. Woe to all of our wallets.

Pfft, I'm waiting for the implantable bio-circuits that tap directly into my auditory senses. Hmm, I wonder what the impedance of a nerve cluster is...

Look nice, but how does it sound?

Probably sounds like an HD650 with diamond encrusted solid gold power cables treated in pixie dust enamel and leather reinforcement crafted by 1000 year old Tibetan monks.

That would be the LCD-2 to you.  Now really how do those Magico speakers sound

I'll one up you with a combo of the LCD-2's legendary low end surge and the class leading clarity and resolution of the SR-009. Now how do those speakers sound? The best speaker system ever made on Earth? I think so.

Side info:

The Magico Ultimate II has been produced 9 (pairs) times until now, by the 20 employees.

Sometimes people ask me whether they get some really good sound of a pair of Logitech desktop speakers they want to buy.
I can only give them the example of the Magico Ultimate II to "scare" them away. Funny to watch.

Only mentioned the LCD-2 to ac500 since it's the closest sounding high-end to the HD650.  Other than that, I greatly prefer the HE-6.  SR-009 is just simply amazing although the bass is a bit weird.

It's Christmas time, yay! Beats galore. A friend of mine just posted a photo of his new Beats and... I see madness. The headband is at the back of his head and the cups are at his temples like they're pseudo-deadmau5 ears or something.
Is this the new way of wearing Beats? No longer necklaces, but awesome hats! I apologize so much for my generation...
