I am really interested in getting one of these new T50RPMK3!
I heard somewhere that they do sound quite good right out the box, unmodded, but only way to figure out is trying them out!

Anybody had a chance to give them a listen?

I listened to a pair at the Audio Fest in Denver on Saturday, and if I could, I would have purchased them right then.  The sound was truly full, base, mid and treble without anything over or under.  The only criticism I would offer is the very thin pads (I wear glasses and would consider my old ATH M50 pads the minimum).  I will probably also add some kind of headband sleeve (I'm bald and bare rubber is not great on my scalp).
Some key differences between this and older versions: mk3 has grey sliders, bright orange coupler wires from the earpieces to the headband.
I really think this version hit the sweet spot and don't think I would do any other modification beyond pads / sleeve.

These should do the trick.

I thought the new version had a headband pad instead of bare rubber?

The new T50RP Mk3 was one of the biggest surprise at the RMAF.

Thank you so much for these feedbacks!
I've been looking for more information and impressions on the new T50RP Mk3, and these only helped reinforce my urge to buy these cans!

Agreed, and that's from someone who owns modded mk2s.

Although there were some good points brought up. Many many many people will swap the pads out, but that will change the sound. It would take some modding to fix... ifyou don't nessesarly care about what the new pads will do, that's fine, but for us that do........ mk2s all the same
