I wish I could get rid of the hollow sound of the plastic cups. Anyone have suggestions ? Cotton fill didn’t work and little or a lot just made me lose bass and output.

I recommend lining the cups with some putty. I think I used sticky tac or similar. You don't need to go crazy but a little bit in the flat indentions should take care of it.

I’ll have to get some. I do have some thin foam lining with sticky back I could try. Might tame the plastic cups from the hollow reflection.

I used Bluetac (poster putty) on the baffles and some on cups, along with some thin self stick closed cell foam used to keep rugs from sliding. Covered about half of the vents with tape, loosely filled the cups with Acoustastuf, and added a dime size paper dot, centered on the the inside of the driver. I cut out the cloth covering the outside of the driver and use Shure pads, which have a cloth cover. 2 layers of cloth was too much. This was Version 2. I like them. Bass detail was improved and the highs are adequate. Midrange is sweet. It took me a few renditions to get what I liked.

@rendyG
I have two questions regarding the ports and the little felt strips. Maybe someone could help me. That would be great :relaxed:

Are the bass ports interconnected, or are they just small cavities? And what does it look like behind the two felt strips on the back of the driver? Are there holes there, like the small one in the MK2 baffle? I'm asking because I want to create similar baffles for my MK2.
