Cool stuff: got some MMCX on my ATH-ES10, can use balanced cables now.

ended up selling the oslo (at cost) to a friend who uses Legend X, despite not consenting to full penetration, it has much better synergy with the LX than the Trio, making the LX more linear and less fletcher munson, at least perceptually.

Trio + truth spc (w cfa marshmallow tips) is as close to my personal ideal as i have heard so far, (re)auditioning the VE8 this past weekend no longer make me want to commit theft as it once did. Having said that, VE8’s coherence and liveliness are still totl.

Very nice to see you popping by again and great review Ryan! :) Not a lot attention for Hidition, but it seems like they deserve more.

Cheers! Definitely an IEM I had fun with and will put in my daily rotation, will surely continue to photograph them hehe. Lots of interesting stuff to come stay tuned :)

Dunu DK-4001, DX200/Amp8 and the the "Please Remain Seated" album by Thunder. Excellent way to spend the post-work commute home.

These IEMs are definitely growing on me, and the cable (long connectors and all) is absolutely killer. Solid low bass presence (tasteful, not overdone) and a lift in the midrange to give vocals bite while still keeping a fairly natural tonality. These are certainly IEMs you need to attend a bit of time with to fully appreciate, but I am starting to see why Dunu pitched then add a flagship now.

Also, ignore the 80s rock connotations - anyone who is into really well recorded acoustic rock/blues type stuff (think Joe Bonamassa) should definitely check out the Thunder album. Best thing I've heard in a while.

so I was able to get ier-z1r. imho, i feel like it should've been what the mdr-z1r should sound since for me they have the same tonality.
the ier-z1r is the mdr-z1r without the bloat.

but one thing that impresses me about the IER, is the bass. it is almost or the same with EX1000's linear bass.
