The EM64 looks like it would belong in my collection eventually, being quite different from what own while retaining important qualities for me!
Literally my biggest fear reading any IEM review at this point. I've gotten over cables, so maybe I'll learn to be satisfied.....nah not gonna happen

Didn’t have to wait long

Curious now as to what you’ll think of the TrueWave equipped Purple

How do you know I haven't heard and written down my impressions of it already?

Just some wild guesses: Purple sports 1 Cl, 2 RAB, and 2 TWFK.
The circuitry in its predecessor looks mighty complex and I'm curious what kind of circuits are implemented in this design as well. I bet it's amazing.

I'm rereading the comparison between EM64 and the A6t. This is probably kind of a hassle, but how would you compare the EM64 with your memory of the u12t? perhaps somewhere between the two?

What a shame, since the circuitry around the drivers is like 70% of the puzzle :D I can't compare the two off of memory alone. Sorry.

pithy, stop asking questions and buy everything :p
how dare you read my thoughts

on second thought though, regarding iem design, I see some stuff floating around that seems to point towards tubing as the number one factor in affecting sound. Not sure about electronic crossovers still, gotta wait til summer to start experimenting.

I would say, he should dedicate himself to his studies right now, specialise in plastic surgery, and then buy everything because...

Don't encourage pithy, I think he's THIS close to considering remodeling his ears so he can stick plug and play IEM modules. I for one do not want Skynet to come in to existence yet.

more like 90% :D np on the comparison, I completely understand, thanks! Nice pictures btw! the 3d print marks look kinda rough. from memory, 64 audio doesn't have as much of a problem with artifacts; i imagine its a different 3d printing technology.

Thanks! The 3D-printing blemishes were disappointing to see indeed. It's about on par with UE's shells - which is poor - but I made that clear on the review and in conversation with EarSonics. Though, those blemishes are only on the inside of the shell. This is why their 3D-printed IEMs that are in full black look fantastic. The outer lacquerwork - as I said - is fantastic. So although it looks rough, it feels very, very smooth. 64 Audio's shells have a couple blemishes here and there. I mentioned them on my A6t review. But, their shells are much clearer; less murky. It can be chalked up to a difference in technique or equipment, but it can also be the extra step that 64Audio take in polishing the inside of the shell as well as the outside.

They both matter. Have fun wasting your summer.
