So I got my Final E1000 in to compare with my Final E500.

The E500 is definitely the warmer set for those who thought the E1000 is too bass light.

I'm not sure if I'd say the E1000 has more treble detail than the E500, but its presented a bit differently. The treble is pushed a bit further at a certain point on the E1000, while the E500 stays a little more relaxed in that zone.

This means that you can turn the volume up on the E500 even further than the E1000 before the treble becomes bothersome, resulting in a beefier sounding lower range.

The E1000 has a little more treble crispness while the E500 are smooooooth af. Both are good but for my music tastes I think i prefer the E500.

th x for ur impressions, especially this point, interesting to know that treble detail still there with increased bass, good ears. usually i read more bass = less trebles

and yet again...+1 for making my day with that profile pic :)

The bass increase is very slight. It more has to do with the fact that the treble peaks harder in the E1000. The same detail of treble, but E500 takes that peak in the frequency response and reduces it a couple dB. This means that you can pump more volume into the iem before you hit any region of fatigue, meaning you can have a more powerful bassy experience overall. The treble in the E1000 would stop you before reaching the same levels of bass in the E500.

This is why I use the term warmer rather than bassier, i think the change in the treble has the most to do with the sound change between them.

Also thanks, this has been my profile pic since like 2009 lmao

EDIT: After further comparing I'd say the E500 actually does have a bit more bass than the E1000, ignoring the difference in treble. The E500 sounds slightly thicker

The endcap piece (the piece with the Final logo on it) of my left monitor on my E5000 came loose in my fingers when pulling it from my ear! I'm not sure why or how this happened. I don't know how they're supposed to be secured with the main housing. Glue or some other kind of adhesive? I don't sweat while wearing them, so I'm not sure what the cause is. Any ideas how I can make sure it doesn't come loose anymore? I can post a photo if more clarity is needed.

I highly recommend getting in touch with @Final Audio to ask them directly. That way you can see if it is something that falls under warranty or at least get the best advice on how to fix it. I would be very careful with glue and such because it could turn into a mess and you might end up damaging the the driver or blocking the acoustic filter/chamber.

So I got the E2000 in. I doubt I'll get an E4000 or E5000 but I might get an E3000 to round out my comparisons.

The E2000 is a definite improvement over the E1000. But the E500 still rules the midrange of the 3.

Imo E500>E2000>E1000

Interesting. I have not been impressed one bit by the E500. Love the E2000 though--much better separation and holographic feel.

I am _very_ impressed by the E500 but mainly for its 3D capabilities. For a n00b like me on binaural stuff those are really surprising, twice so considering their price.

Maybe it needs some burn in but E2000 just sounds a bit generic to me. Kind of that generic V shape iem sound. Not terrible but not really standing out. Definitely an improvement over the E1000 though, the treble quality is definitely improved with E2000. E500 is just so cozy sounding and imo less V shaped, with a more filled in sounding midrange. Both E1000 and E2000 have a slight hollowness where it's filled in with E500.
Percieved treble detail definitely goes to the E2000, but I'm not sure if I'd say it's actually pulling out more detail, just a difference in tuning. More of a foward spike in a certain part of the treble than increases the percieved level of detail.

These are just my thoughts, having all 3 on hand. I'll probably return the E1000 and E2000. Maybe I'll checkout the E3000 if I'm curious.

I'd definitely love to try the B3 and A8000 eventually. A8000 supposedly has crazy soundstage. And according to graphs it looks like B3 might have a similar tuning to the E500, but with better treble technicalities with its BA drivers.

As a (very happy) owner of E5000, I am acquiring a pair of E3000 intending them as a similar-featured but much easier-drive alternative for daily carry.

After 2 months of waiting, finally I got my E500 from Drop today!

I was a bit scared of its QC control for this model since the Korean blog and crinacle graphs were showing a bass imbalance on their graph, but mine is perfect:
roomeqwizard_2020-06-09_23-23-48.png
-- The gray graph is blocking the rear vent with blu-tack, as you can see it leads to a roll-off at the bass. I wonder if for those people with bass imbalance isn't just the vent clogged or something similar.

My first impressions are rather positive, I've got the E500 mostly for the tips but what struck me right away is the organic mid-range and smooth sound, so effortless. The sub-bass extension isn't that deep but the bass overall has a warm tone and honestly, I don't miss any punch for my metal. Treble is polite so I can listen to this set for hours without any fatigue.

Somehow it has some nice imaging for its price, I can pin-point instruments and some spacial cues easily. The only down-side for me so far it's kind of power-hungry to really shine, off my cellphone it's not that good but feeding through my amp, it's impressive, even more for its price. At $20 it's a bargain if you're into neutral towards warm tone.

Has anyone done a comparison of all of the Final E IEMs? Basically, I’m wondering what the particular strengths of each one is, not necessarily a detailed writeup.
