I think the Heaven VIII are a smoother more sophisticated version of the Heaven VI...with a very pleasing analogue sound..
 
 
I kept both of these and sold off the Heaven V...
 
BUT...everyone's ears are different...

This might have been asked already, but what DAP are you guys pairing with your Heaven VIII? I have a Fiio X5 right now, and have concerns whether it would pair up decently. (Heaven VIII is on the way)

Should be very fine. All Heavens are relatively warm tuned so it fits perfect with a brighter source. I had a Heaven V pairing great with a Sony A17 but too warm with the Cayin i5. So FiiO X5 should be excellent for a Heaven-IEM.

ah thats surprising. Used to have viii too but dont fancy it hence sold.

The VIII is bigger but more comfortable than the Lab1 actually.

The Heaven VIII seems more like a bargain each week: of course, a lot depends on getting the right tips and source to 
 
synergize together....that's not easy to do!

  New to thread. Thinking of buying a pair of Heaven IV but reviews I have read refor to "coloration" in the mids, and also that the mids areunlike anything they've heard before. Is this a good thing? A little wary of buying something so....different. Can anyone explain what these comments mean????? Thanks
