Hello, do we have any update on the bass rattling situation when used with the blade runner soundtrack?
I am referring specifically to the PRO version.
It looks like there are at least 3 cases in the forum.
It would be extremely useful if everyone tests it and respond with either a YES or NO so that we can get back to Final as a group.
Non on this extreme bass track.

I'm listening at the new The Future Bites of SW, with the D8000 and the Benchmark HPA4.
What this amp does to the D8000 is stunning. An improvement of roughly 10-20% in spatiality and definition compared to the IFI Pro iCAN.
Probably you get the resolution of the Pro with the bassy tuning of the D8000 standard.

If you want get all of Pro ICan you must change tubes and power supply.
I still thinkt that D8000 Pro is slighty better.

Ok, but I tried on 6 different amps (I'm only doing A/B with the IFI, now), Benchmark is really on another level with the D8000.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I suspect much of the Pro better definition is due the brighter signature....

I heard that HPA4 is quite bright so im not suprised that D8000 sound great with it.
HPA4 is flat neutral. If one, maybe the IFI is slightly brighter (in solid state, of course).

I always say that SS mode in Pro ICan is nothing great, it's ok but fall short in some SS only amps.

Hi, anyone compared the Rogue RH-5 and Benchmark HPA4 together with the D8000?
I’m pleased with my Rogue but as you all know the search for the ”perfect match” are a part of the interest...
Never heard the Rogue, but from what I read it's excellent.
What the Benchmark gives to the D8000 is an extraordinary resolution and a sharper presentation than other amps I tried. Some says D8000 is an iron hammer in a velvet glove, with the HPA4 you take away some velvet.

Am I the only who thinks d8000 sounds better than the pro? Just listened a pro today. Pro sounds brighter and slightly better treble response. But the thundering bass is gone, the soundstage is noticeably smaller. The best way I can put it is its base version sounds dark, deep and warm, the pro version sounds clean bright and intimate. Between these two, the base is my preferred soind
