Would recommend anyone buying the ZMF Verite C to request the Auteur Hybrid pads - they really seem to work better than the standard Auteur and Universe pads supplied (I hated the Universe).

Based on my previous experience with the Auteur pads, I do believe they can provide benefits to the Verite Closed over the stock Universe pads. Absolutely the Auteur pads will tone the bass quantity down, with the tradeoff being a bit more tightness, but I think it'll also provide benefits in the mid-range presentation as well as modify the soundstage quite noticeably.

For my tastes, the Auteur pads provide some of these benefits I seek, but I think its preference driven ultimately. I have Be2 pads, which I'm excited to try and will report back on.

Wouldn't dare to recommend anything but sold my Verite C this week because I missed resolution and the reverb in those monkey pod cups was distracting.Still have the Final though and the silver cable is quite good but needs a tremendous amount of burn in.

The Nordost seems to need about 200hrs of burn in - I didn't much like it when I bought it but after mega-burn-in it did change for the (much) better.
The Nordost I used is not a brand new, it work with my Denon D9200 for quite sometime.

Really very nice these D8000 Pro, noticeably different than the regular D8000, their tonality is clearly shifted upwards. They are more detailed and resolving, although the treble is more pronounced than the D8000, it is better, more juicy and cleaner for me. Unfortunately, the Pro does not have such massive bass anymore, the advantage of this is tonal equality.

Thanks! Could you please state the equipment you used, gain settings and volume knob position?

I'm compiling data to be submitted soon to final.

i believe you have to turn up the volume to get more bass, which is how it was designed from my understanding.

No, D8000 Pro is brighter HP than D8000.
Many fear eq or imposed a rule against it , but this headphone reacts to eq very well.

If we take best thing from D8000 and Pro we have HP that beats Utopia or LCD-4, only Susvara and 1266 will be better, maybe Final will make that HP someday.

Hello, do we have any update on the bass rattling situation when used with the blade runner soundtrack?
I am referring specifically to the PRO version.
It looks like there are at least 3 cases in the forum.
It would be extremely useful if everyone tests it and respond with either a YES or NO so that we can get back to Final as a group.
