Final Audio D8000 Planar Magnetic Headphone

From decades of using , borrowing in and demoing headphones the 8000 Pro is the best sounding headphone I ever heard. It does slow music with ease , classical with ease and does fast pounding metal with ease. It gives layered bass , lush real vocals and detailed extended treble. Soundstage is one of the biggest. One of the biggies while having one of the biggest bass.

Would you say that the Final Silver cable that comes with the Pro model is end of game for cables?
Yes , its monstrously big and heavy , but its solid and pretty.

I can write the same for my standard D8000 used with the Wireworld Platinum XLR headphone cable. I don't have to change to the PRO version.

Great , so if I add this upgrade cable the 8000 will not clip with hard hitting bass tracks , the mid will be more upfront , treble will extend and bass will hit as hard but slightly more tighter and more layered ?

this is definitely the case with the WW Platinum cable
Have you heard the 8000 and the 8000 pro ? Then you bought this cable put it only on the 8000 and then you compared both models and thought "now the 8000 sounds just like the 8000 pro" ? I demoed both many times within three months.

I was able to use xlr cable I got off Amazon a while ago. Only issue it doesn’t sit perfectly so it can come out. Though it does work. I checked their website but couldn’t find a 4 pin xlr. The one I’m using is made for T1 hp.

I didn't compare at the same time. Anyway, I was persuaded to WW Platinum by a friend from my country, and it was confirmed that the factory cable degrades the sound of the D8000.
longer 3.5 mm plugs must be used

Mmm 8000 with silver /copper cable and 8000 pro with the same silver/copper cable theres a big difference in sound signature between these headphones. You might be talking about the old stock black copper cable. Either way there were physical changes made to the 8000 pro.

Listening to crash test dummies song mmm mmm mmm mmm. It brings me back to the nineties. Memories of buying this album on cd and the smell of the mall coming back to me. Brings a tear to my eye.

Is Final offering any type of upgrade path/trade-in program for D8000 owners to get the pro's? I'm guessing not, but if the pro version is truly addressing a design flaw of the original it would be a nice gesture.
