I read that two or more users of the 8000 experienced clipping on the right ear cup and I too have encountered this but with the 8000 Pro, yes the right side. So why always the right side ? Does the right side does more than the left side ? Im now using the Demo model for now and it has no clipping.

I have D8000 for almost two years and no clipping at all.
There is one good thing about PRO which is missing in D8000, those are the "pads". After replacement comfort moves up quite a bit.

The Pro pads can be ordered from a dealer for $79. I agree, final should make these the stock pads for both 8000s.

Do you listen at levels greater than 95dB, especially with heavy bass?

Highest possible to listen level and bass heavy.

At first, I was a bit disappointed about this limitation of the D8000, especially since its tone is so beautiful to my ears, but later on I viewed it as a means to protect my hearing from damage. I’m older, and I think about my hearing more than I did when I was a younger man.

Been listening to my D8000 Pro and its sounding better than expected. Very detailed , vocal exposes the singer breathing , beautiful guitar plucking and the bass hits hard and it goes deep. Been playing some bass heavy music and pushing it loud with no clipping. I borrowed the demo unit for two weeks and it had no clipping on bass heavy music. Also what I like about the D8000 Pro is that it can play hard and fast Metal music very well.
