When opening the Tidal app on the m6 I get stuck trying to log in. ”Login failed due to an unexpected network error, please try again” Have tried resetting router and factory reset on the m6 to no avail. My connection and Tidal works fine on another unit, and been good on the m6 before. Any ideas how to fix it?

Same issue here, but fixed by downloading the original Tidal app from the Fiio list of whitelisted apps. All of my attemps to use later versions resulted in the app crashing.

Have upgraded the firmware and tried again but it still had same issue so I uninstalled the factory music app and installed the stand alone music app. Got to test it briefly and so far so good but will update after I have had time to test properly. Cheers

Well have been using for about 25 mins most nights and a few sessions of a couple hrs. It has been playing well when left to just play but when skipping or changing tracks is quite sluggish and seems to skip a bit for a while then settles and plays fine.

Album art and names seem to lag behind when manually changing but again seems fine when left to just play. Glitched for the first time tonight. Was smaller than previously and only lasted a second and didn't freeze the whole player and after a couple seconds was able to continue on. Did disconnect the Bluetooth though. Was the first song played one turned on. Played the same song over and played fine no issues. Seems all issues for this stand alone app are all around manually using it.

I've also got the problem logging into Tidal. I've deleted the app and downloaded it again from Fiio, no joy. I've also tried other versions that people recommend, but no joy. I've even done a factory reset in the M6.

This error occurred before, and after downloading the 1.0.4 version of M6 firmware.

Tidal is what I use the most on the M6, I did use Spotify but that had it's own issues trying to log in. I'm coming to the end of my tether with this M6...

I had this problem, I would choose SD card as the destination for downloads, but they would go to the M6's internal memory. When I looked at my Spotify account settings (on another device), for some reason the M6 was listed as a registered device multiple times, and this meant I had hit the maximum amount of devices allowed on the account.

I cleared this list, and the M6 started to save to the SD card. All sorted, but I then soon had another issue. When I went to use the device, and Spotify again, it said I needed to log in. However, it wouldn't let me log in because Spotify was set to 'offline'. I couldn't change it to 'online' because I wasn't logged into the app.

I found Spotify to be too troublesome, so I went back to Tidal, and now that's proving troublesome.

We're also checking this with Tidal.

One customer told me that V2.25.0 is stable: 'Finally some Tidal representative solved my ticket. The most stable version on my Fiio M6 is version 2.25.0.991.23 that you can download here:

Or you may try the V2.19.0/ V2.24.0/V2.25.1.992.1 currently from apkpure.com.

According to the feedbacks from other users, those versions could also work correctly.

As for the reason why other app version fails to work, this may need to be solved by Tidal. You could also try to contact them about that.

I confirm that version 2.25 is working, no more problems with login, despite the old problems.

When streaming the music stops time to time, maybe the M6 hardware is not so capable for TIDAL use.

I managed to get v2.25.0 working, so thanks very much. However, all my previously downloaded Tidal music has disappeared, so it looks like I'll have to download it all again.

I have to say though, as much as I love the way the M6 sounds, the problems with this device are making it more trouble than it's worth...

We have also received the feedback from Tidal's engineer now. You could update the Tidal app for check if you meet the login issue.

Hi,

The Q1MKII is a DAC and the M6 is a player. When using the Q1MKII, you would need to connect it to a player first. And due to individual preferences, you could read the professional reviews and comparisons, as well as try out by yourself.

Connecting M6 to a dac, playing Tidal master from Tidal app will stutter badly. Tried that with 2 different dac. This is related to the horse power / RAM of M6, I read, so no anway around this?

sorry, forgot to update. I too had problems with 2.26.1. So I uninstalled, then installed 2.25.0 with the APKPure app. Re-downloading playlists took ages!

I wish the M& had a better processor & more RAM. Love the form factor, but MQA on Tidal just seems to much for it. Using with ifi Hip DAC & Chord Mojo. Sounds great, but stutters a lot.
Would buy the M11, but it's a bit too big for my liking. Lets hope the M6 mkII isn't too far off!
