Totally agreeWell, one still needs a DAP as a transport to make use with iDSD BL and M6 will do just fine imho.

Could you recommend a lower priced portable headphone amp that can support the 40 Ohms 1Khz for the Sony IER-Z1R?Totally agree
So you want the M6 and a potable amp?Could you recommend a lower priced portable headphone amp that can support the 40 Ohms 1Khz for the Sony IER-Z1R?
If I recall correctly, the NX1S was a fairly competent pocket-size amplifier. See it on Amazon fairly regularly for £30Could you recommend a lower priced portable headphone amp that can support the 40 Ohms 1Khz for the Sony IER-Z1R?
I already have the M6 and it was a great choice for me. The headphones I use with them for now are the Sony MDR-1AM2.So you want the M6 and a potable amp?
You can try out the ifi HIP Dac, but as always please listen to it before you buy it if you can.I already have the M6 and it was a great choice for me. The headphones I use with them for now are the Sony MDR-1AM2.
After comparing the frequency specs for the MDR-1AM2 and the IER-Z1R, they were virtually identical. The audio quality was so close and loved their soundstage. I could discern the little details for both. I am wondering if there are cheaper priced IEM's that can pump out frequency response between 3 Hz-100,000 Hz, as Sony only offers those specs for their most expensive IER's. My FiiO M6 handled the IER-Z1R like a champ, but if my MDR-1AM2 sounded almost just as good, perhaps cheaper IER that have less specs and a headphone amp are in order. Any other recommendations to match the M6? Thanks!
Actually, it's 4400 yen in Japan. That is super cheap. Wow.If I recall correctly, the NX1S was a fairly competent pocket-size amplifier. See it on Amazon fairly regularly for £30
Yeah, the NX1s is a super affordable device, and if memory serves it's just about the right size to strap to the back of an M6. I'll have to look up the dimensions again to confirm.Actually, it's 4400 yen in Japan. That is super cheap. Wow.
The advantage is that you can use the 4.4mm balanced output on the HIP DAC.Wow, that has the best specs I've seen! I'll buy it this weekend! Thanks! ifi HIP looks like it will go well with the M6! Cheers!
19,800 yen. Yup, more expensive. But for the features, it's still a really good price. Seems amazing.Yeah, the NX1s is a super affordable device, and if memory serves it's just about the right size to strap to the back of an M6. I'll have to look up the dimensions again to confirm.
Though if you can afford the Hip-DAC, I think that would likely be a better (and more versatile) option tbh. A balanced portable DAC/amp is pretty stand-out for it's price range. It's got a few reviews on here. But it's also about 4x the price.
Yea. This would work great with the Sony IER-Z1R, right? The advantage is that you can use the 4.4mm balanced output on the HIP DAC.
Since I haven't heard that combination I cannot vouch for the synergy however, theoretically it should sound great.Yea. This would work great with the Sony IER-Z1R, right?
Yea if I remember, it IER should come with the 4.4. What a stellar core this would be for music! Would the M6 DAP, HIP Dac and the IER-Z1R or MDR-1AM2 be enough to solidify an audiophile collection?Since I haven't heard that combination I cannot vouch for the synergy however, theoretically it should sound great.
I reiterate, only you can answer that questionYea if I remember, it IER should come with the 4.4. What a stellar core this would be for music! Would the M6 DAP, HIP Dac and the IER-Z1R or MDR-1AM2 be enough to solidify an audiophile collection?
