DPD are the best, well when delivering within the UK anyway imo. Royal Mail usually gets a tracking code when sent internationally, it's not detailed but it at least tells you it's on it way and when it's been delivered. I wouldn't worry, Royal Mail is still not too bad, all the international parcels I sent via them arrive within 5 days.
Agreed - DPD are way ahead of Royal Mail - you get updates by text and email, predicted delivery slot of one hour, the driver's name and a Google map to track them on their delivery run, easy options for leave in porch etc. plus an uploaded photo of the parcel on site if they have been instructed to leave it. V impressed.
