Do any of you have any ciem with wood faceplate from empire ears? I'd love to see some pictures... I'm still deciding what to choose as face plate

Here's a picture of mine with a wood faceplate. My photo doesn't do it much justice, really - it actually looks very nice IRL. Jack and team did a splendid job with my Zeus.

I spoke to DJ at EE today. They do not have an exact date for Zeus-ADEL, as it is still in prototyping stage. But he was confident that, it should be ready by Jan 2017.

That sure gives me some time to convince my wallet to be nice and play friendly.

Is custom a slightly different sound than black olive tips universal fit?

In theory, no. In reality, there will be differences due to degree of isolation + shape of ear canal.
