It's my second week with the DX220 and it couldn't impress me so far.
Both amp1 and amp8 sounds fine, but nothing noticeably than Dragonfly Blue, Mojo and other cheaper stuff. Am I the only one not very satisfied with the DX220's sound quality ?

Give it more time to burn in.
My unit start to shine after 150 hrs mark.
Also if u changed amp module, pls give it time to burn in too.
My amp8 sounds much better after 100 hrs.

You might just not like this house sound signature from ibasso. And that's fine.

Relax, I don't care about his roms anymore, stopped using them some months back.

can u tell me if viper4android works with ur add on for ibasso dx220, i tired but it was all noise and clicks

Isn't it the answer to your question? I never tried myself. But it should be understandable that iBasso has modified Android's sound path for bit perfect high quality playback, and tools like V4A may not work.

Have you tried Mango OS? It makes all the difference if you have a decent pair of headphones

Ibasso is toward 3D soundstage with enhanced mid, balanced bass and treble with perfect dynamic.

However, when I tested mojo, it didnt impress me as well. Too warm and didn't make any bigger sounstage. So it is YMMV topic. Hugo does impress me more.
