Is there someone who can explain to me how to update my dx220 properly please. There seems to be 2 ways, one way by downloading the version 1.16 from the website and another one proposed here with a software from Windows. Seriously, is there any advantage to make here with the software?

There is actually only one way is to download from.website and bring it update in device.

The another way is for .img firmware which needs to use window software to flash it. Which you dont need to follow this unless you are using fidelizer rom or Lurker's add-on.

I returned to the DX220 again and think that up to 1к $ there is no better option. But autonomy bothers me, on a balanced output it is an average of 15% per hour, without amplification and without using a screen. But at the same time, my new DX220 is not as hot as the previous one, it pleases.
15% per hour is this normal?
ps latest firmware
Mango OS, Balanced Burn-in Cable, Medium GAIN, Volume 25%, mp3 files bitrate 320
20% in 1 hours
100%->0% 5 hours
This is normal?

More or less... depending the iem/headphone maybe it’s a good idea go for low gain and increase the volume as the volume is digital and it should be better sound but well I’m not an expert

I did not use headphones, I used a burn-in cable, so that, in equal conditions with all users, to understand whether my battery consumption is normal or not.

If you use anything higher than 16/44.1, then your battery will drain much faster.
Thanks! I understand that, but I just wanted to know if my DX220 consumption is normal or not.

U are lucky to have 15percent per hour
actually mine does 30percent per hour
waiting for a new battery from ibasso
and mine gets very hot while playing flac, with 320kbp mp3'is fine

That's about what I am getting around 4 hours with high res (24/192) flac playing. I like everything about this player
but I could use bigger battery or better energy efficiency.

I believe for mp3 it is not ok.
I’m listening DSD or FLAC->DSD64 using NeutronMP which requires for such conversion a very high power with AMP8EX high gain, Meze Rai Penta or IMR RAH and my battery drops around 16-18% per hour.
