Buy both then sale one, and later sale the other.

Lol get out of my brain! Seriously though I want to STOP doing that for a while. Work and kids keeping me too busy for that crap.

@Lurker0 - you might be the best person to ask...

Do you think the Rockchip CPU is much of a bottleneck on the DX200? I'm surprised that the faster UI seen in @ExpatinJapan video of the DX220 would be all due to doubling the RAM to 4GB

I don't think so. But I experience no problems with DX200 UI either :)

It is DAP. I remind you that in my firmwares for DX200 and DX150 I add 126MHz CPU frequency, and it is mostly used during playback of almost any kind of music formats. 4 cores at 816MHz is enough for the only CPU-hungry one: DST-compressed DSD. Why anybody want to pay for more, instead of better sound?

I'm a sucker for good-looking DAPs and the DX220 is ticking some boxes in that department. The 'now playing' screen looking so fresh.

Keenly awaiting impressions with tube module once released. Any rough ideas on how much power it will throw out?

How do you like the SPKM? Keeping that one, or looking to replace it with DX220?

I think 8 A53-core cpu is a gimmick, though I believe a big core (A57/72/73 etc.) would be good to have to implement new DSP features. I just confirmed with FiiO that they have implemented on-the-fly PCM-to-DSD conversion (and a better EQ) on their new platform with 4x53 and 2xA73. I don't know all the details but as someone that did hand optimization on ARM for NEON/FP, I can say there is a massive FP performance difference with the big ARM cores. And that was for M11, which replaces X5, and 3 higher end devices (replacing X7) will be announced after these are out.

I really like iBasso products and wish/hope they also have plans to catch up on that field, too.
