I already own N6ii, and now thing about to switch to sony wm1z, because sound signature of N6ii is too warm, slow and little wet for me :frowning2:

I already own DX228, N6ii and Fiio M11, iems: sony M7, dunu dk4001, sen ie40pro

1z is warmer and slower. you can wait for cayin to come out with a colder dac modual for you or you can go get a dx200 or Lotoo for that flat cold sound. which iem/headphone you using?

all those iem/headphones sounds too warm for you? the m11 is very neutral. If you are not happy with those 3 daps, I guess you just want to go shopping for new stuff. maybe you should get a more neutral headphone.

I agree the final link in the chain, the bit you put on your head or in your ears is far likely to change the sound signature than the source, if the source is "Hi-Res" and costs >$500. There are subtle sound differences in sources I'm sure but nothing a bit of ear "burn-in" wont fix. :)
