BGVP discussion thread DM7/ DM6/DMG and NEW BA series

That’s the thing $200 extra gets a person 10% improvement.....at best. Still that’s only if you like the new signature. Adding a driver many times is not a benefit. But who knows if BGVP knows what they are doing it could be another giant killer. I’m actually glad the DM7 seems to follow the DM6 template. Which may mean they didn’t mess with stuff too much. They are continuing to use simply a BA set up which they are good at. Nothing really different except maybe a refinement of sorts; maybe? Hopefully the DM7 keeps the same size and shape. Many of us wonder if the original was a question of blind luck being it was a classic, redefined value and was a different animal from the BGVPs before it.

I always though the original was at the apex of price to performance ratio.

How could it not, if you agree with the signature?

The DM6 has a unique character, which in a way you would not want to mess with. Though it wouldn’t be cool to have lightning strike twice in this scenario!!

The original DM6 is the best $199 I’ve ever spent in my audiophile history; I will always think that.....maybe?

The way things are going I will be buying a backup set on 11/11 when they can probably be had for $150 again.
Would be an crime not to.

Nice catch. The Symbios are what I used for a good while on the DM6. Then I went to some New Bees and now I'm using THESE.
OK, I swear those are the same tips as come with the S8F... I LOVE them.

My clear DM6 are outfitted with Symbio de-peeled, so the photo definitely resonated!

Agreed. These are the tips I have settled on as well. I found they provided the best balance.
Today my spiral dots came but my dm6 is one the way back to china

I thought Cp145 is for wider diameter. I find CP100z fit the best, if i use CP100 i need to push it all the way down.

I use the CP 100 as well and not the C145. All of these slightly different numbering systems can be confusing!
Cp100 are 3.8mm bore diameter and cp145 are 4.5mm
I have too cp 100 too the 145 sound better on dm6
