Are you saying the 400s is not in the same league as in the t90>400s overall or the other way around.

The T90 is a class above the 400S from what I have seen. The 400s needs a pad swap to the Focus pads to be a bit more competitive.

I just changed the pads on my T90s to Brainwavs velours and overall I like what they have done to the sound. I'm just going back and forth between the Branwavs and the originals before I decide whether to keep them on though.

In the Amiron review it is mentioned that the ear pads have been updated. It would be interesting to hear them on the T90s. This is what was said: a new acoustically effective ear pad filling material increases bass precision

After listening with the Brainwavs I have decided to go back to the original pads. There seemed to be a loss of bass definition and detail with the Brainwavs.

I've been on a bit of a headphone buying spree lately, so I continued it by buying a set of T1.2s. They should arrive on Tuesday, so I look forward to hearing how they compare to the T90s. I'm also starting to wonder if I should buy an amp to go with my Mojo.

By the way you're right about detail losing with brainwavz pads, so I did little modification on them by cutting inner textile. End of the day it looks like original pads with increasing bass and comfort. I highly recommend this modification those who want to try.

I just got a set of T1.2s and on first listen they sound very good. Smoother, and more detailed mids than the T90. I heard sounds I hadn't heard before and had to take them off because I thought the sounds were real. The T90s are very airy and bright, but it's as if they have a brute force approach to revealing detail by boosting the highs whereas the T1.2s are more refined and natural to my ears.

Here those mentioned images are, As I already said in my last post, I cut middle tulle textile using scissors in this way it looks like same with the original t90's pad. I hope it helps :).

My pair having a heavy clipping in some tracks.
I tend to use high volume than most people and I wonder if my pair is defectred.
when lowering the volume the clip is gone but I can't enjoy listen to them on such low volume.
using the crack+SB and modi MB. (which btw is not working at all with the usb connection only optical, got zero support from schiit. they are terrible).

If your crack amp and its tubes are fine, then your T90 might be defective.  Find out how to check your crack amp.  Also try swapping out the tubes with new ones, and make sure that they are matched tubes.
Is your Modi within warranty?

The MODI MB is brand new.
I had the t90 clipping problem with other amps too.
The problem is the store that I got it from Don't have a proper amp to drive them so they can't hear it.
the problem occur at 12+ o'clock on the crack sb.

I wonder if I should ask for a new unit or send it to the lab.
what is the best option??

in my country most people are noobs regarding to audio. there is no single audio store with a proper amp, just lame. not to speak of a tube amp.
not sure I can trust the lab here.
