Beyerdynamic onwers unite.....
Impressive!.Beyerdynamic onwers unite.....
To hasmac: How do you think both your DT 48´s compares to rest of your Beyers?
Sounds paiful! Lol. All great cans, have owned or own all of the above but the 1770 and 1990 are a definite step up in sound and quality, especially 1990, they are worth getting but defo not worth getting castrated for! .Hey all.
Current user and lover of the DT770 80Ohm here. Have previously had the 880 600Ohm and 990 250Ohm. I am hoping to try the 1770 and 1990 at some point as feel one of those will be a great fit for me. I would have them both, but I am not ready to be castrated.
I asked Beyerdynamic what was their first model to use computer simulation in its development. They said that DT 831 and 931 were first. I think these models were sold sometime on 90´s. Beyer still produces drivers for these. Those drivers have black damping material between diaphragm and magnet. I have one pair which i´m going to use on DIY headphones.
I have DT 48 & 480. Both are 200 ohm. DT 480 has gotten more eartime mostly because it has better comfort (DT 150 earpads) and bass extension. I seem to have extreme difficulties at getting proper seal with DT 48. It starts to roll-off maybe at 100 hz. But still they both have extremely good impulse response. Both headphones are very good compared to my AQ Nighthawk and Hifiman HE500.
