Hi , just sold my Sennheiser Momentum 2 over ears and bought the DT770s for my portable needs. Loved the way my DT900s sound on my desktop rig and thought my Momentums a little bland in comparison. Looking forward to my mobile pairing  with my brand new LG V10. Will report later when I have had a chance to listen.

The LG V10 thread reports 600ohm cans powered and happily driving 250 ohm cans. The V10 powers my DT990s okay so  Im thinking the V10 should have power enough to drive the DT770  80ohms. I am getting them on Wednesday so I can let you know.

Hello everybody,
I have two questions. The first one is about the version which is only for drummers and with almost no bass. What is this very model name? Somebody at Head-Fi said there are two versions of DT770 Pro 80-Ohm. So which one is for drummers?
Question two. Can I use DT770 Pro 80-Ohm with my Fiio X3-II without an amplifier and still have a powerful bass?

The DT770M (M for monitoring) is the one for drummers. This one has more seal and is good for monitoring.

For a second question, try it and if it's not loud enough for you then you may want to consider adding FiiO A3.

DT770M is good for drummers using it for monitoring purposes, and nothing else.
It's the worst sounding headphone from Beyerdynamic. No soundstage (mono like), no sub-bass and no treble.

Has anybody tried DT770 with Fiio X3-II? If so how do they sound with Fiio X3-II?

Thanks for the M idea.
I wouldn't like to have a sandwich. If it is not loud enough I will go for Yamaha Pro 500 which is 23ohms or something else.
