What are sound differences between those pads?

Not much, compared to the stock pads. With both the drivers are a bit more closer to the ear.

May be somebody tried Brainwavz HM5 Velour pads?

I have both pleather and velor HM5 earpads and I couldn't put them on the DT150.

Just thinking, I used the old, flatter HM5 pads. Maybe the new ones are stiffer?

hi, guys. Just one question: DT 150 or DT 660 ?

I've just had myself a DT660 recently. I listen to almost all kinds of music, of which classical and jazz are on top. I find the DT 660 has a very nice SQ, however the build sucks as it's mostly made of plastic.

I like a flat headphone, which sounds accurately (don't mind the boredness anyway). Comfy is not an issue as the DT660 has strong clamp force, too. Those 2 both hurt the same I guess. I listen to music in my own room, so mobility is no biggie and I'm willing to amp my cans, had the cheap Denon PMA 520AE.

I have two more weeks to be able to swap the 660 for 150. Any suggestion ? Should a get the German tank or keep the 660 ?

Thanks in advance.

My Chinese Velour DT150 earpads will be here in 7 days. I will inform the community about the quality/fitment and provide a link if its worth.

Anyone try to mod their DT150 out there? (cable, inner cup, earpad, headband mods?)

Just to let you know..if you happen to re-cable, keep in mind that the older versions use a contact system rather than a normal solder connection.
The 6-Pin connector as far as I know is fastened on the moulded plastic so its easily removable.
This is a great video to learn more about the internals of the DT1XX series.
