Oh I know. It's just funny to me lol xD. I will say that the LCD-3 has me constantly shifting my setup. I feel like such a noob rolling porta-setups this much xD

Yeah the dark side is actually pretty friendly and neutral...unlike the 'other' side.

Actually the ones that learn to tone it it down at the other side are tops...otherwise I find them pretty harsh, annoying and irritating.  Kinda makes me wanna puke.

I mean, IME, how true is that hey?  hehehehe.

Had a chance to audition these yesterday at a local shop and noticed a crack in the wood, granted these were the demo units but still.. I know there were a few LCD2 rev1s that had this issue but haven't heard of it on the 3s before

Whoa that's weird. The whole point of the triangular input jacks was to reduce strain on the extruded wood parts from the Rev.2 LCD-2s. I bet those were really abused. They certainly look it.

What do you people think of GS-X mk2 vs ALO Studio Six, which one wins in euphony?

And yeah, I'm talking about using them with LCD-3's of course :P
And yes I know I'm silly and asking too many questions, but just as an interest, are they different in that one is solid state and the other is tube so the tube will give me better euphony vs solid state that would give me better cleanliness and no distortion whatsoever as in nothing but the facts

Look at all the lonely people!

Those are two entirely different animals you're asking about. The S6 is definitely one of the best sounding fully tube circuits around, but the GS-x mk2 is completely solid state and a lot less "tastefully distorted" (even-order harmonics and whatnot). I wouldn't go so far as to say the S6 is warm or anything like that, but it has an undercurrent of tubey sound.

P.S. I really wanna post more replies, but I wanna save my 1000th post for the "Show us your Head-Fi Station" thread xD...
