Looking awesome! Is that indeed Rosewood?

Looks like he's either got a really nice cut of Rosewood. Or.. It's stained Zebra wood

yes they are rosewood. ive been waiting 2 months for the rosewood, it was worth it though. i don't like the look of the bamboo.
when i first listened to these on a demo pair they had the old connectors. they were annoying. the new lcd-3 connectors are amazing. these are just a comfortable as my hd600 :)
i LOVE my lcd-2 :)

I just wanted to mention that I upgraded from a summer 2010 LCD-2 rev1 model to a 2010/11 body style LCD-2 rev2 soon after RMAF this year, and I've been much happier with them.  I find the sound more open and balanced, and they even seem a little more efficient to me.  I'll post more impressions as I have them.  Cheers!

I cant stop listening to my lcd-2! These are everything I expected and more. should I wax them now or wait 6 months?

The newer models have quite a bit of varnish on them so there is no hurry. I'd just give them a little rub every now and then, possibly once every couple of months to give them a little treat!

I have a burson HA-160D which I have been pairing with Denon DXXXX series so far.  Would this dac/amp be enough to power the LCD-2 rev 2?  I am considering buying a set of these and selling one of my denon pairs.

I've only heard the Burson under meet conditions.  I thought it sounded quite nice withe my LCD-2.1's.  It didn't totally blow me away, but the power was sufficient.  We also had a tweaked out Beta22, some Woo WA6 and WA22's and a Bryston BHA-1 there.  My favorite was the Bryston, but the Burson stood up fairly well under those conditions.  What it lacked was a bit of bite on attacks -- it seemed a bit rounded, but tone & timbre were very very good.  Also it didn't have the deep deep clean bass that the Beta's or the Bryston were able to coax out of my cans.  Note, these were all using my stock unbalanced cables.  I have balanced cables too, but didn't have them on that day.

If you have it already and like it, you will probably be quite pleased with the LCD2's on it.

Hope this helps!
