Not comfortable, heavy, with a hot spot at top of head. X and XC are even worse.
Does the carbon fiber band help at all? I have problems after a few hours of listening as well.

Did try the Lohb? strap on another friends LCD-X, much better, way cheaper also.
That's the ticket for sure, I use one on the older Hifiman models as well. He is a pleasure to deal with as well.
Does anybody have a picture of a LCD with the Lohb strap installed?
I'll also say this (and I'm just using a Watson), the most befuddling thing about the LCD-2 is that it's like it changes its sonic signature depending on the music. Sometimes I find myself wishing there was more bass, sometimes the bass feels elevated. Sometimes the highs are up front, sometimes soft and veiled. I'm really thinking this is a case of them just being able to present things in an honest (if slightly tilted) way.
Every time I feel I can live without em, I hear something where I go back to thinking these are the best headphones on the planet.
