Here you go, did a little photo manipulation commenting on LCD-2 build quality.  I think that might be Skylab on the .50 cal.
By the way these guys have no problems with the clamping force. :D

HA HA! No more threadcrapping with the LCD2 patrol aboard.

On a different note - here are some impressions of the LCD2 with the Lady Gaga CD I bought yesterday (I did redeem myself by picking up a SACD copy of Dark Side of the Moon!!!).

It sounded dark, congested and rolled off.  Looks like the LCD2 can't do it all...I was wrong.

Holy crap!  That's my former tank company doing a Dog and Pony show at Miramar air show before we deployed.  I went to Iraq w/ those guys, except the loader.  He actually got shot in California before we deployed.  I had to take all his stuff to the hospital.  I can't believe you have that picture.  Small world.

Edit - BTW, I think you guys might find it ironic but those headphones we use in the non-shopped picture are Bose.  Yeah...we found a use for them.

Would it be too much to ask for you guys to attempt to have a little bit more of an active presence in the main thread as having another perspective would help in some of the matters being discussed. =D

Amazing! Thank you guys!

With a 2 month backlog,  I think I'd prefer it if the guys...y'know, get back to work! *cracks whip*  Ha ha!  Perhaps in the near future, there will be more presence in the forum.  Until then, there is more than enough information out there for anyone to make an adequate assesment.  If someone is willing to spend on these cans, they are willing to research.

That's a really cool picture and neat stuff done with PhotoShop.  Like the amp on both tanks and it looks like me holding the pair of LCD-2's on the tank in the back.

Bose actually know what they're doing with ANC.  They practically invented the technology, and I'm sure, hold patents having to do with anti-noise as applied to a headphone environment.  I can't remember the model number, but back in the day, their first ANC general aviation headset sold for about $1K and was the only game in town for a couple years.  There's a huge market in the military for noise protection for personel.  Think flight deck of an aircraft carrier...  160dBa on deck @ takeoff.  I'll bet it wasn't too quiet inside the tank while under operation and while firing either!

The mighty Orpheus - Stereophile recently added an old review of this legendary headphone system.  After reading the review all I can think was...meh, whatevah.

Makes me like my LCD2s even more!
