Wondering if anyone else is struggling with memory wire. With the combo of that wire and the rotating connector, I struggle with them every time I put them on.
Does anyone here have the bluetooth cipher cable? The site says that this has memory wire as well but the photo looks like it doesn't. I know that the cipher cable for the iSine's aren't memory wire.
The stock cable has shrink wrap, but no metal memory wire. The cipher BT cable does actually have a memory wire in it, but IMO doesn’t feel all that great. It’s probably the ones downfall of the BT cable Audeze offers. The Euclid sounds great out of the BT cable (even when comparing to all the other BT dongles and things I have).
The iSine don’t need a memory wire since they are exclusively worn down.
My Euclid holiday purchase has finally shipped and scheduled to be delivered today. Unfortunately I'll be qorking the next 2 nights, so I won't really be able to listen til Monday, but I'm happy to finally get them in. Looking to go with Sony hybrid foams foe the xm4 as my tip of choice for these. Also, debating getting fiio utws5 to be able to use at work occasionally, which would then mean less use for my xm4 and Noble Falcon Pro. I have too many Tws, but I'm tempted to add these to that possibility as well
My Euclids arrived today, after a full month after I ordered them. Can't blame on the "supply chain"; they already had it in stock. But it was worth the wait to get these at half-off!!
Giving them a listen with a Cayin RU6 right now. I plan to do a full burn-in just cuz... So far, they sound really nice esp. at the price.
My Euclid came in at noon. Using with Sony X507 and Shanling m8. Tried stock tips, too much treble on m8, not enough bass. Tried spinfits not enough low end. Tried comply, good bass, not enough treble, ever so slightly muffled. Spiral dots lacking in low end punch. Pulled out unused Dakoni bullets. Good foam bass, and wide bore let decent amount of sparkle through. So far, that's my tip of choice for Euclid. I want that low end, BUT still good mids and treble. Had to go to work, but looking to listen more the next few days. Now wondering if I'm going to Want To pull out my Solaris often. My big players may be my lcdi4 and my euclid. We'll see
Thanks for the Dakoni suggestion! I couldn't get a good seal with the included tips. Been using Acoustune AET07 which provide a great seal and comfort. I do have some bullets in my inventory, and I'll give 'em a try later today.
I haven't shared my EQ curves in part due to my continued tweaking of select parameters, the bass boost being one of them. I began experimenting with a 0.1 Q low and hi shelf centered at 1khz to act as a 'tilt adjuster' for subtle full frequency spectrum adjustment. But I avoided 0.1Q at 150Hhz due to the major lift it gives in a region the Euclid is already elevated in the mid bass, when compared to any of the iem targets (i.e. the 4 or 5 harman targets and the oratory target), where mid-bass is pulled down by 6 to 9 dB relative to bass and mid-presence.
What it all all boils down to is I had spent dozens, nea, hundreds of man-hours measuring and PEQ'ing the Euclid to come close to one of the aforementioned targets (or combination; I chose Oratory1990 as my target with some aspects of the latest Harman; see my comparison graph image I posted months back). (This: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/audeze-euclid-closed-back-planar-iem.954300/page-12#post-16366554 )
And I've concluded that's a losing battle.
[!!!... dramatic pause here].
(And also in other part why I haven't shared my parameters. The one person I shared them with did not respond well to them at all. Leaving me scratch my head and reassessing how I must hear vs others. And what it is that makes the 'Euclid sound'. And how to both EQ but not lose that. ...That's not easy either.)
I can tell right away looking at the PEQ parameters ( frequencies & Q & levels ) those won't yield a response that matches a Harman or Oratory iem target. But, this is something I can I wholly agree with and endorse. So, I wont be so shy sharing what I've settled on. But, I still want to accompany my parameters with empirical measurements. And I haven't gotten around to setting all that back up yet. But I will.
I can appreciate your perspective.. I'm kind of wondering what the Euclid would sound like with iFi's portable DACs and XBass enabled? I don't think it's necessary for a good portion of my music collection but I'm looking to purchase an xDSD Gryphon. Has anyone here tried the Euclid and xDSD Gryphon together?
I'm not sure if you are still looking for an answer on this but they pair very well with my xcan. There is something very addictive using the xbass and 3d+ with the Euclid's.

I have a Gryphon with and expected for delivery next week Though I'll admit that I am pretty happy with how it already pairs with the Go Blu; kind of adds some of that warmth I want out of it, also fixes the upper midrange a bit.
