Anyone knows with the stack of AK380 and the amp itself, is it save to charge the amp and amp charges the player?

Charge together is fine, preferably using an iPad or similar output charger....

Takes about 4 hours for me to achieve full charge on both units, however, I usually just charge overnight now

Patiently waiting for my copper unit.. The wait is excruciating.

Everytime i take out my LPG out in public, i feel like everyone thinks its one of those old nokia phones. Well at least for now I won't have to keep polishing the gold knobs on my LPG. Haha

Congratulations on the Cu....

You have it good as the LPG will ease the wait, I am sure!!!

Listened to some Stacey Kent on the AK380Cu over SE846 today. Sublime. Simply sublime. Sometimes I like to bring out the 846. While I appreciate the K10 and Layla that I have, for different purposes, the SE846 is also a good match with the Cu - and in some cases I even like its mid more than the K10. It is the more balanced and maybe the natural one compared with the other two, kings of all IEMs if I may. With the AK380Cu, the sound quality of SE846 is soooooo good. I mean the best - the best of the best of the best. Only the AK380Cu can realise the full potential of the SE846.

Great. Will try this with my 846. Has anyone tried the Cu with the 64 ears a12/u12?

I just returned home from trip to HK with my cu and found a pair of U12 with B1 Adel. Only have time to try for a few minutes and I can say it is better than my JH13fp and even better than the EE Zeus that I demo on initial impression.  Very impressed.

Thanks for this! Kind of uneasy because i bought the ak380cu without being able to audition it. B1 module is definitely the way to go for the a12/u12 although the isolation is not so good.

Also, i remember reading that the copper edition was limited to 500 units. Is this still the case? Cannot find it stated in the iriver website. Maybe they changed their minds? :joy:

You should try the SHURE KSV1500 ! ( the electrostatic IEM, feed Analog by the AK380).

Are the front and back panels different colors, or is that just the light exposure you mentioned?  Mine should be here soon, although it doesn't appear in the EMS tracking site.

] Hey Spkrs01, you should also check out the following versions:

The Andre Previn DVD audio I have ripped to 24/48 and have excellent dynamics and sq, very hifi with very good interpretation imho. The Decca Zubin Metha interpretation is the one I like best, only have LP at the moment and looking for a good cd issue.
