I have them in right now, listening to Marley's Kaya, and the bass is there, tight and precise. Overblown and muddy? No? But there is bass, and it's perfectly fine. You never got a good seal if you owned the dual drivers and got no bass. Now that I look at your post, no one is talking about iBuds. You must have not bothered to read the thread.

To CContreras...I tried out the T130 Complys (made for the Phonaks) and they muffled the highs and mids a bit, but weren't bad. Didn't try the T100s, but the 130s are similar.

Of course, they are not W3s, but for everyday phones at $35, worth it, especially now that I know I can bring them into an Apple store should they fail. It's like getting them for less than half price. Don't expect to get these phones and not wonder what the IE8 or W3 sounds like, but at this price, an excellent deal in my view. THey are fairly microphonic, but I used a shirt clip I had around to keep them quieter. No biggie to me.

Does the Apple IEM's wire tangle easily?

I think the Apple inEar is sound much better than the Sennheiser CX300 or CX500, I do not think have a cero bass .. just need to place them well

He apparently was talking about ibuds, since he says buds. Doubt he ever owned these specific Apple phones. But you are right, they have decent enough bass.

I did not mention the iBuds.
I referred to these...
Now it is understood that these InEar not perfect, but for the price I think they're pretty decent. And work perfectly with my iphone

You do realize that this thread is about the dual driver in-ear, right?

I know that there is such a backlash against Apple's regular earbuds that these dual-driver earbuds won't get any respect. I, however, would like keep an open mind. I have the Sennheiser IE8 and I would love to do a comparison between them and these Apple's.

@ tstarn06, did the pair that you ordered from this seller on ebay come with the exact retail box? (i.e. the white clear case, with the little white tube to store the silicone tips in)? Just making sure because the fake and real ones seem pretty hard to distinguish. But then again, you say they sound good which probably means they're real. Just making sure.

Since it is cheap enough (compare to any dual driver out there), I think it is still a viable choice. I am not a big fan of Apple but I am interested in this IEM as well - the removable metal mesh filter is really great idea.
