Hi im trying to find some good headphones that sound great for music and have a big soundstage for positional audio.
Also it has to be 100$ in canadian because on amazon the a700 are like 120 in usa but in canada it went up to 180. Way too much.
Im fine with a bit over 100 but yea. Im a noob

LMAO. Yea. i just found about these amazing forum. Just this year i have decided to upgrade my gear to game with. Before i was using just cheap stuff that my parents got me. My first "gaming" headset was a very horrible decision. It was like you said an impulse purchase. I regretted it so much. The creative labs tactic 3d sigma is horrible.

Try eBay, there might be sellers that are in Canada or will ship to Canada (from USA).

Everyone once in a while Futureshop will have a sale on the AKG K142 or 172 which brings them under $100. You should be able to find the Shure 440/550 under $100. Other options: Senn PX100, Senn HD229, Sony V6 (on sale)...

Superlux HD-681, cause they are the cheapest.

You're most welcome. I would choose the HD668B but I am biased, it is quite bright just so you know. Or the HD681 at least you get to choose your sound signature that way.

Thank you all for your answers. But in this case as they are all under 100$ which one would have the best sound stage for positional audio? Im not much of an audiophile so i wont mind a bit lackness as long as its not the bass really. But i wouldnt care too much for perfect mids or something .

Get them, there are assorted ear pads you can get, from $15 to $30.
Best $35 you will ever spend on a headphone.
