Thanks, I just slashed the price down to 499. What a shame for such a beauty in perfect condition...

Is yours the 3003i (with iPhone remote) or the 3003 (without)?

mmm my K3003i comes this week. Got a used one for $307.

Congratulations... great price.

Be super careful of the in-line remote.  A tug on it or undue pressure on its buttons can cause it to become a source of intermittency, and You Cannot Get It Repaired (at least by AKG or Harman Kardon) unless under warranty.

In my opinion, with the price going down for akg 3003, it is a steal to get an Austrian version in a mint condition.
Such a beautiful sound, design and packaging. It stands the test of time and for those who don't like the 'peaky' treble, they can use the comply foam (without blocking the bass port) and call it a day.

I still find it the best hybrid with 3 drivers only, and still relevant in 2016 (5 years on).

Hope akg can top this ( I doubt it with Harman to close down the Austrian HQ).

Long live 3003

any recommendations for travel cases (or sources of replacement silicone ear tips?) I don't think mine will have either.

EDIT: They just arrived. incredible detail and imaging for an IEM. These are my first premium IEM. Will say more later when I've had more time with them.

Hello. I recently got to try the AKG K3003 and I really loved the sound signature. Unfortunately, the fit was too shallow for my ears and the isolation was not very good. The store let me try various tips, but no joy. I don't suppose anybody can recommend an alternative with a similar sound to the K3003, but with a deeper fit and better isolation. Thanks.
